Bio
Before retiring in 2024, Rick was instrumental in building Maslow Wealth–previously Durbin Bennett–over more than 25 years, working with individuals, families and their closely held entities. He serves as a strategic resource to Maslow Wealth Advisors.
Prior to co-founding Durbin Bennett in 1987, Rick was a Tax Manager in the Austin, Texas office of Price Waterhouse Coopers, serving as Director of Financial Services.
Rick previously held the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Certified Public Accountant with a Personal Financial Specialist credential. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Public Accountants, the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas and the International Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board). Rick graduated from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and participates in a variety of community and professional activities.
In his free time, Rick enjoys golf and cycling. A little-known fact about Rick? His father was the Concert Master of the Houston Symphony.
