Bio

As Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Matt is responsible for shaping the firm’s overarching investment strategy, leading its investment research initiatives, and serving as Chair of the Investment Committee. He joined Maslow Wealth Advisors in 2004 and previously served as Senior Portfolio Manager.

Matt began his career at Enron Corporation in Houston, Texas, where he evaluated and conducted due diligence on private equity investments for industrial companies and managed a long/short equity portfolio of telecommunication stocks for an Enron‐sponsored hedge fund.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and petroleum refining from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, where he concentrated in finance and specialized in investment management.

Matt is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. He also served on the board of the CFA Society of Austin and is a Past President.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his wife, children, and dogs and maintaining an active lifestyle through hiking, road biking, and skiing. He also appreciates a fine whiskey and enjoys discovering new selections from time to time.
